WPC 2015

It was great to be at Microsoft WPC this year in Orlando. This is the event where Microsoft outlines its strategy for the next 12 months, showcases new technology and allows partners to network with Microsoft staff and other partners from all over the globe.


Some highlights and announcements from this year include:

HoloLens

A demonstration of Autodesk Maya with uses Microsoft’s HoloLens headset to show holographic images in the real world.


Project GigJam

A digital canvas that stitches together many applications into a single pane of glass enabling cooperation between multiple people on multiple devices.

Cortana Analytics Suite

The Cortana Analytics Suite brings together leading technology infrastructure with perceptual intelligence to enable businesses of any size to transform themselves through the power of data.


New Office 365 E5 offering

In October, Microsoft will introduce a new premium Office 365 enterprise suite. The new E5 plan will include Cloud PBX for Skype for Business and analytics, Power BI, and advanced security.

CRM Online Enhancements

A demo of the new CRM App for Outlook Web Access (OWA) which allows users to track emails from the web.

Windows 10

Windows 10 launches on the 29th July and sees the return of the start menu, addition of Microsoft’s digital Assistant, Cortana, Multiple Desktops and a host of other new features. Windows 10 provides a single Platform and App store which will run the same applications on any form factor including PC, Tablet, TV (Xbox and Surface Hub) and HoloLens.
